Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County presents KidsFest

at Roanoke Island Festival Park. Join us for this free and

fun-filled day where children five and under can enjoy face painting, story time, mini-golf, corn hole, ice cream and art.

Children will also be able to explore and climb into a fire truck

and United States Coast Guard boat and more.

The event is sponsored by Children and Youth Partnership.

Cookbook Update---Waiting on More Recipes

 Mommy & Me Cookbook---2nd Edition

We Still Need Recipes in All Categories!!

We are currently collecting recipes for the

2nd Edition of Flapjacks and Flipflops.

Until we have more recipes we will not be able to send this cookbook to print, so if you have time please submit your favorite recipe(s). And pass on to any friends or family members that would like to contribute as well.

Our first edition was a big hit and we are hoping to have this one be successful as well.

Playgroup Clarification

Dear Members and Friends,

Please note, the SHARK Playgroup will meet on Friday, March 30th and Friday, April 6th as normal, however Jessica Lehman will be unable to be there to facilitate the playgroup as Playgroup Leader. *Without a leader, playgroups are not allowed access to the room in the back of the building, however all playgroups are always welcome to meet OUTSIDE as a playgroup even when the leader is unable to attend.*
Both Dare County School and the Dare County Rec Center in Kill Devil Hills are OPEN for 1/2 day on April 6th.  Our Spring Party will be held outside at 10 am, unless the weather is uncooperative, in which case we will meet inside in the back room.  We encourage all members to come and play; and vote!
The following week from Monday, April  9th to Friday, April 13th, the Rec center will be closed and school is not in session so Playgroups will not meet.  Feel free to contact your friends and playgroup buddies to meet “unofficially” outside if you would like.
Only when there is a vacant leader spot will playgroup be “cancelled.”  In summer, when we are unable to meet at the Rec Center, we also continue to meet weekly to foster our Mommy & Me relationships.
